Blackpool Zoo
Blackpool Zoo is looking for an Experienced Mammal Keeper to cover maternity leave for a period of 9 – 12 months, working primarily on our large mammal teams, the successful candidate will join our existing team of keepers assisting in the daily care & husbandry needs of our animals. The zoo houses a wide range of mammal species and the successful candidate will have experience caring for a variety of mammal taxa.
You will have a minimum of 3 years working in a recognised zoological institution and the DMZAA course or an equivalent qualification is essential. You will need to be hard working, physically fit, enthusiastic, and reliable. Experience with Cat 1 animals would be advantageous.

The Zoo is operated by Parque Reunidos, one of Europe’s largest leisure and attraction operators which specializes in the tourism/leisure sector. Parque Reunidos currently operates over 60 parks around the world and attracts over 20 million visitors annually.
The salary for this position is £24,420 per annum and subsidised Single onsite accommodation is available with this post if required.
